Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 3, 2026

What we collect

We collect only the information you choose to give us — such as your name, email address, and affiliation when you join the chapter, RSVP to an event, or submit a form. Our website itself does not require an account and does not track you across other sites.

How we use it

We use your information solely to operate the chapter: organizing events, responding to your messages, and sharing chapter updates you have asked for. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties except for service providers that host our forms, events, and communications on our behalf.

Cookies and analytics

We use only the minimal, strictly necessary cookies and local storage needed for the site to function. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your California rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request a copy of it, ask us to delete it, and correct inaccurate information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, so no opt-out of sale is required. Exercising these rights is free, and we will not discriminate against you for doing so.

Do Not Track (CalOPPA)

Because we do not track you across third-party websites, our site does not respond to browser Do Not Track signals, and no third parties collect personally identifiable information about you through this site.

Data retention and security

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, and protect it with reasonable safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date.
